This Body is the realistic replica, used by Eddie Van Halen, in the 1978 period.
A true symbol of his innovative and pioneering style. We have recreated all the first steps that Eddie chose for what was, the legendary Frankenstrat of the first period.

MAIN FEATURES:

• BODY: mod. Stratocaster American Standard S-S-S 6 screws for the bridge
• MATERIAL: second choice ASH with defect (knot)
• MODIFICATIONS MADE: increased bridge pickup housing to place an HB
• FINISH: black spray can. white overpainting to recreate first layer of stripe.
• RELIC: realistic wear of the nitro finish and time veil + American Scootch used for fixing the Jack cable and damping vibration of the tremolo springs.

FUN FACT:

The body of the original guitar was made of ash, a wood that is not very light but resonant.
Eddie bought it from Boogie Bodies (part of Charvel) for just under $50, as a second choice due to an aesthetic defect in the wood.
The Finish: Initially the body was painted black, but Eddie later applied the famous striped finish by overlapping tape and white paint.
Only later did he add another red layer creating the iconic "worn" design of the Frankenstrat.

The original 1978 Frankenstrat is perhaps one of the most iconic guitars in the history of rock, a symbol of the innovative research that has uniquely distinguished EDDIE's entire career.
